History in the Making

I don't know how many of you watched the DNC last week. Since the beginning of this campaign I've felt like it was truly history in the making. But last week - after Sen. Kennedy, after Michelle Obama, after Sen. Hillary Clinton, after Sen. Joe Biden, after former Pres. Bill Clinton and finally after Barack Obama himself spoke it all of a sudden hit me that this is real. Sen. Barack Obama could in fact become the next President of the US. Watching bits and parts of the DNC, hearing the speeches, seeing the crowds re-energized me.

Specifically the concept of CHANGE from the bottom up hit home. I thought, what am I doing, what have I done to make a difference in someone's life? I thought not much and so decided to do what I do best. I want to make a difference and this is a start.

So what are YOU doing to make CHANGE happen from the bottom up? If you're not doing anything, why not start. If you're doing something - do more if you can. It's up to all of us to make this world a better place for everyone.

*stepping off my soapbox now*
